Leaves Darken

Leaves darken. They appear brown or black in color. This is called necrosis.

Necrosis can affect leaves in different ways. It can affect leaves generally, such that the leaves appear almost uniformly brown or black, or it can affect specific areas of the leaves, such that only parts of the leaves are dark, i.e., only on the edges or only on the tip. In addition, necrosis may only affect some of the leaves but not others, i.e., only the leaves in the crown.
