Crown Pales - No Other Symptoms

Crown is pale. There are no other symptoms. If your African Violet has this combination of symptoms, it may be suffering from one of the following:

Check these possible causes against the symptoms you are seeing. Each is accompanied by a full description which will help you determine whether or not it is the cause of the problems your African Violet is experiencing.

Note: If you have narrowed down the cause of your Violet's symptom to either a Calcium Deficiency or a Manganese Deficiency, look closely at the leaves in the crown. Normally, when a Calcium Deficiency is the cause, the leaves in the crown will be uniformly chlorotic (pale), whereas a Manganese Deficiency will typically only cause chlorosis between the veins.
